Google    The Small Brief

Google's “The Small Brief” by Jayanta Jenkins makes the invisible work of caregiving impossible to miss.

Made with Google AI · Google Flow

Hey, Caregiver? We see you. The relentless grit, grind, and grace you bring to everything you do (while caring for everyone else).

That's why this is for YOU. Because once you see everything an unpaid caregiver is carrying… you can't look away. But you've got to see yourself first. And that's you. That's ALL you.

We see you. We hope you'll see yourself.

Behind the Scenes · How it came together

Google chose
Jayanta.
Jayanta chose
ARCHANGELS.

Google's “The Small Brief” is a simple idea with an extraordinary outcome: pair world-class advertising icons with small businesses they believe in… and let them make something that matters. Three icons. Three businesses. Three films.

Google chose Jayanta. Jayanta chose ARCHANGELS… and then used Google Flow to turn what unpaid caregivers carry into a film you can't look away from — because when Jayanta chose us, what he was really choosing was caregivers.

Now what?

See yourself — because there are things that can help.*

WINGS UP and LFG.

*and even if they're not perfect, they're a great place to start.

Icon of icons.

Funny story… we wanted to shine a light on Jayanta. He asked that we don't.

Why? Because Jayanta may be the biggest Archangel of us all — he's not doing it for the recognition. He's doing it because he cares. That's caregiving, and we got to witness it first hand, over and over, as he built something world class to make the most invisible people in this country impossible to ignore.

How do we change the world?

One caregiver at a time.

That's you up there. You've been doing this the whole time. We'd love everyone else to see it, too. Starting with you.

Over 40% of adults across the nation are unpaid caregivers. We're the ones showing up — day after day. We don't get a day off. Sometimes because we don't have a choice. Sometimes because we wouldn't take one if we did. We count on ourselves to get it done — whatever it takes. And that can be intense. AF.

We don't even see what we're doing… we think we're 'just being a good son,' 'a loving wife,' 'a friend,' 'a neighbor…'

No matter what you call it: We see you. Take two minutes to see yourself. Get a name for this thing you've been doing. Get the words to name how intense it can be — in all the good, and not-so-good ways. Then get matched to the free things that can help.

The bow

We bow to you Jayanta… and to the entire dream team making this possible — Google, Johannes Leonardo, M ss ng P eces, MakeMake, Perpetual Motion Music / Groove Guild — and, of course, the deepest bow to all the unpaid caregivers out there bringing their best for everyone else on the regular. We see you — and we hope you see yourselves.
